THE BEASTS ARE UNLEASHED!

In a thrilling game, Everton take their first away win and first back-to-back win of the season, many more could follow.

Everton came to the West Midlands looking for a win, this was clear from the off. With Ndiaye, KDH, and Grealish all starting and actively looking to get on the ball at all times, the early signs were very positive. Grealish, who has been outstanding every game so far, continued in this manner and wasted no time to harass and unhinge the Wolves defence. Ndiaye was equally as effective on the right. Indeed, Ndiaye’s footwork and dribbling were mesmerising and his genius created the first goal, which KDH got involved in and Grealish provided the assist to Beto, who nodded in from close range.

Wolves Equalise

Despite being under constant pressure and totally against the run of play, Wolves equalised with a sublime goal by Hwang Hee-Chan who raced clear of Everton’s slow defence to latch on to a superb cross-field pass by Munetsi. Wolves exposed Everton’s defensive frailties in less than a few seconds. Moyes will need to tighten this up quickly!

Everton Strike Back

Everton rallied quickly and continued to press, harass and frustrate Wolves, who let themselves down at times with some sloppy passing and poor defending. Everton’s second goal came from a beautiful bit of link-up play between Grealish and KDH, Ndiaye slotting it home to take Everton into a well-deserved half-time lead.

Second Half Dominance

Wolves offered little in response and following an initial lively two minutes after kickoff they quickly became second best to an impressive Everton forward line. KDH had his best game yet for the Toffees, he was everywhere in the midfield, tackling hard and making darting runs into space which a talent such as Grealish would not fail to feed. KDH netted Everton’s third with a fine finish from a delightful chip-through ball from Grealish. Hitting it first time with his left foot, the ball smashed into the net off the woodwork from just inside the box. A great goal rewarding a superb performance from KDH.

Wolves Fight Back

Wolves however were not done, an inspiring five-man change brought new life to Wolves. Fer Lopez and Rodrigo Gomes sparking much-needed alacrity into their gameplay, which was rewarded with a well-worked goal from Gomes, one that drew more lacklustre defending from Everton. With a chance of a point, this momentum put Everton on the back foot and it was a slightly nervy end to the game for them.

Conclusion

All in all a great team result for Everton and a deserved win on the whole. Wolves need points quickly and have shown that they are not an easy touch despite their exodus of talent.

Everton face Villa at the HDS in two weeks’ time, should be a thriller – but can Grealish do Villa? UTFT.

Well well well - Grealo does it again! Tough games tonight in the League Cup, just showing how competitive this competition is. There are zero crap footy players on the professional circuit, separation is a fine margin, and they can all raise their game when asked. Mansfield showed this tonight (as did Grimsby - 😂), really strong and committed efforts from the whole crew. Mansfield were good value in the first half keeping a pressing Everton at bay and disrupting the flow, whether at the start

Phew! It was a magnificent day on the royal blue Mersey. Expectations were high, anticipation was palpable and the noise was inspiring. The new fortress 🏰 unleashed its cacophony of intimidation and it wasn’t disappointing. The noise is tremendous and the views are spectacular. Even the Brighton players looked delighted to be playing at the HDS, and they clearly fancied their chances. Brighton started very well with Everton’s Tarky unusually nervy and clumsy, gifting Brighton twice , only

Everton undone by the usual BS VAR decision and a lack of guile in their own performance! Gutted! It was always going to be a tough night at Elland Rd, and the crowd were predictably intense and effective. A poor first half for the Blues which they got away with, mainly because Leeds are not that good. Second half was better but still lacking any potency from this so called naturally attacking team. Lots more work to do. Everton never looked comfortable or confident in attack whilst on the bal

KOPITES getting worried - The Greal has landed
Deal done the Greal is in and the strike force is gathering momentum. Whilst I carped on about defence few days back, the attacking component is really coming together. The work rate out of; Garner, Gueye, KDH, Ndiaye, Grealish and Charlie, will force the full backs into the same level of effort. Recovery to defence is an effort and it wins games. Transition from recovery is an effort and wins games. These guys are up for it and Moyesie will beast them if they are weak (ask Nathan P)! We’re on t

Mixed emotions from Blues fans following the opening of HDS to an almost full house. Not the best result but a solid first half performance from Barry, KDH, Charlie and Ndiaye gave us a lot to look forward to. The changes at half time had the expected negative impact and we were soon on the back foot to a lively Roma set up. The goal came as predicted by many and whilst it was a nice shot the defending was woeful. Full backs are needed for sure, but it’s unlikely they’ll materialize. We’re going
